Natural Reserve

Burcina Park

The Burcina Park is a historic garden located in the territory of the municipalities of Biella and Pollone, on the homonymous "Brik Burcina", a gentle hill close to the Biella pre-Alps. It has a total area of 57 hectares and the altitude range goes from 570 to 830 m asl
The origins of the park date back to the mid-1800s when Giovanni Piacenza (1811-1883) began to buy various lands located in the lower parts of the south and west facing slopes of the hill to plant them with sequoias cedars, pines and more.

Sanctuary of Oropa

The Sanctuary of Oropa is the most important Marian sanctuary in the Alps. It is located in a unique and uncontaminated setting at 1200 m. asl, just 20 minutes from the center of Biella.
The monumental complex is spread over three terraced squares, the heart of the Sanctuary is the Ancient Basilica where the Black Madonna is kept.
 
 
Nearby the monumental complex of the Sanctuary there ist the Holy Mount, recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and established as a Special Reserve of the Piedmont Region.

Oriented Natural Reserve of Baragge (Savanna of Biella)

The territory of the Municipality of Candelo includes a large part of the wild and suggestive plateau of Baraggia, called the Baraggione: a big area of about 5000 hectares, in the shape of a triangle, with very particular geological and botanical characteristics.
The Baraggione of Candelo area is also very panoramic: it consists of a balcony several hundred meters long, falling overhanging the banks of the Cervo stream.
There are numerous paths shaded by centuries-old oaks, all of which can be easily covered on foot.

Oasis Zegna

Naturalistic area with free access with hospitality and initiatives. 29 nature trails that can be easily reached along the Panoramica Zegna, the road that, like a backbone, crosses the entire Zegna Oasis with a balcony on one side over the Po Valley and on the other over the wild Valsessera. At the center of the Oasi Zegna is Bielmonte, a ski resort in winter and a place for initiatives in summer, ideal for families.

Bungee Center

The 1st Bungee Center in Italy: since 1994, Bungee Jumping from the 152-meter Colossus bridge in Veglio-Mosso (Biella).

The first European structure that allows a horizontal launch, in complete safety, with the strength of a rubber band able to make you reach 100 km / h in less than a second!

Ancient village of Piazzo

Biella

The Piazzo is a historic district of the city of Biella

It constitutes the medieval part of the city and is located on a hill at a higher altitude than the more modern part, called Biella Piano.

Located on a hill west of the city center (to which it is joined by a picturesque funicular opened in 1885 ), the Piazzo is still the historic heart of the city, with its ancient shops and numerous bars with dehors.

It is connected to the plain by roads (paved or pedestrian) called "coste".

Veglio Adventure Park

In the Veglio Adventure Park you can have fun, in total safety, passing from tree to tree thanks to suspended platforms, steel cables, Tibetan, Tyrolean bridges (pulleys), ropes and ladders, testing your balance and concentration along with some exercise.
